Join us for our weekly hour of prayer in the Fireside room from 12pm to 1pm. Afterward we have fruitful discussion from 1pm to 2pm.
Our conversation includes:
What is prayer?
Why do we pray?
How should we pray?
If you would like to receive prayer regarding your individual concerns or you want to intercede for someone else, you are welcome to join us.

Let Vets Speak Writing Workshop & Performance
The Let Vets Speak Project is a 6 week FREE writing program that affords veterans the opportunity to express their unique experiences through Spoken Word and Story Telling. The workshops will be held on Tuesday evenings at 7pm. At the end of the 6 week program there will be a community performance of selected pieces. The special guest emcee will be Councilman Pat Young, Marine Veteran and former MD State Delegate. Please contact LetVetsSpeak@gmail.com to participate.

The event’s keynote speaker and the three preachers for worship have already been announced:
The Rev. Nadia Bolz-Weber, Lutheran minister, best-selling author and the founding pastor of Denver’s House for All Sinners & Saints, will deliver the keynote address at Synod on Saturday, July 1.
Jamar Doyle, the president and CEO of the UCC Council for Health and Human Service Ministries, will offer the sermon during opening worship on Friday, June 30.
The Rev. Carmen Lansdowne, moderator of UCC communion partner, The United Church of Canada, will preach during community worship on Sunday, July 2.
The Rev. JJ Flag, a UCC Disabilities Ministries board member and associate minister for pastoral care and justice at Myers Park Baptist Church in Charlotte, N.C., will deliver the closing sermon on Tuesday, July 4.

Dance Connections Inc. Recital & Catonsville Emergency Assistance (CEA) Fundraiser
Come and enjoy the dance performances by the dancers from Dance Connections, Inc., at our Catonsville Emergency Assistance Benefit at Immanuel UCC.
Price of Attendance: Bring a minimum of 5 canned/dry goods to donate to CEA (Catonsville Emergency Assistance). A good will offering will also be taken during the show. Items currently most needed include: peanut butter, dessert mixes, toilet paper and paper towels.
